i'm living in duesseldorf for 13 years now, but i never really felt bound to this city. cologne is and will always be my hometown. i was born and raised there, a lot of good friends live or moved there and my heart still belongs to the "domstadt". apologies to my friends from duesseldorf, but this town has just never become that attractive to me...
nevertheless there are some places in duesseldorf i really enjoy. besides the jade imbiss and the infamous AK47, afew (afew good things) is definately one of my favorite spots here. run by two really nice dudes, you can not only buy the freshest sneakers and some selected clothing there, but you can always have a nice chat with the owners, too. so hangin' out in the store is always a good time whether or not buying something. you will realize they're doing their business not just because of making a living, but with true passion and love for sneakers.
they offer a diverse selection of the latest sneakers by brands like nike, asics, adidas, new balance, kangaroos and puma, also a range of performance basketball shoes like the nike lebron and kobe series for example and of course those special limited super hypeshit releases ;). you can also find selected appareal by adidas, nike, beastin, puma and new era and from time to time they are hosting special events like the afew vintage sale. the store itself is pretty appealing, too. nice arrangements, design and a "glow in the dark" floor.
